1912: Motion pictures cause tragedy
1912 - "The Indian Massacre" is a wonderful, realistic looking film with "the sensational massacre of the isolated settlers, the serving of an infant from the maelstrom of death, the vengeance of the white men who exterminate the Indians in a sensational battle, the dramatic rendition is superb..." There will be a scene of an Indian mother with a dead child - and a white mother - because the theme is "mother-love."
